The New M Missoni Collection Is Upcycling At Its Finest

MATCHESFASHION

Have you ever wanted to bring new life to an old design? Maybe you love the fabric, but are ready to see it on a fresh shape. Well, that's exactly what M Missoni's new coat collection is all about. The designer brand has come together with MATCHESFASHION to release a range of coats that have given vintage fabrics a second act in an ultra-chic way.

The capsule collection launched exclusively with MATCHESFASHION and offers up coats created from upcycled Missoni Home fabrics. Priced between $1,415 to $2,080, the lineup includes three outerwear silhouettes: a trench, a parka, and a trucker.

"I am so excited to release my second capsule collection with MATCHESFASHION; continuing to re-use upcycled materials from the Missoni archive to celebrate the Missoni heritage in a contemporary way," said M Missoni's Creative Director, Margherita Missoni, in a press release from the brand. "I have loved visiting flee markets and vintage shops since I was a child, and it is this idea of giving new life to a previously loved item that I want to celebrate with my collections."

For this line, Missoni hand selected fabrics from the Missoni Home archive, pulling from the '80s and '90s to create statement styles in three timeless silhouettes. Originally upholstery textiles for furniture designs, the fabrics used for this capsule include everything from cotton jacquard to printed velvet.

Standouts in the mix include a $1,650 bold, floral-print velvet hooded parka and a $2,080 velvet trench coat with a checked print that features shades of mustard, rust, and pale blue. However, if you're looking for a jacket that you can throw on over your favorite turtlenecks, peek at this boxy, trucker style in a velvet tweed with a blue checked print, $1,415.
