You aren't alone if the idea of at-home hair color brings back some not-so-pleasant memories of your high school years. But even if you've since graduated to the salon, Iskra Lawrence's gray hair may inspire you to change your hue from the comfort of your home. Thanks to an $8 formula by L'Oréal, the model has debuted a brand-new icy tone.

In partnership with L'Oréal's Colorista Permanent Hair Dye, a new product from the cult-favorite drugstore brand, Lawrence showed off her hair transformation in an Instagram video on Weds. The hue is a fairly drastic change, as fans and followers have become accustomed to the model's long golden-blonde locks.

This boundary-pushing style statement may seem out of reach, but Lawrence shared an inside look at the process. "It’s super easy to do at home yourself or with a friend and it’s only £6.99 - and you can save £1," she captioned her Instagram video, encouraging followers to "#GoGreyWithMe" by clicking the link in her bio for a how-to video. While it's unclear how long she will keep this silver style, it's bound to inspire others to follow her lead.

A handful of other celebrities have stepped out of the traditional confines of hair color as of late, emerging with eye-catching shades of pastel, muted versions of bright tones, and intentionally faded ombré. In recent weeks, Hailey Baldwin has sported a choppy pink bob, Hilary Duff opted for a bleached look, and Julia Roberts tried her hand at rose gold.
