If the idea of jeans and a black top conjures up the image of one of your most over-worn looks, you're not alone. While classic, the combination can feel a little tired if you rely on it too much. If you’re struggling with how to style jeans and a top in a new and sophisticated way, take a look at how Rosie Huntington-Whiteley does it.

The 31-year-old model was photographed running errands in Beverly Hills on Wed. wearing a put together variation of a timeless outfit formula. She paired a black unbuttoned blouse with dark-wash, mid-rise denim, which she finished off with a neutral brown belt with a gold buckle. No look is complete without the perfect footwear, and Huntington-Whiteley chose a clear celebrity favorite. She opted for a pair of slouchy, suede boots by Saint Laurent (a style she wears frequently), which helped to flawlessly tie in her black crossbody with gold hardware.

Huntington-Whiteley went for even more metallic accents with a pair of thick gold hoops and a large "R" necklace. To complete the ensemble, she threw on a pair of square-shaped, oversized glasses. According to Huntington-Whiteley, wearing a simple look doesn't have to equate to a dull one.
