I'll be the first to admit that wearing a pair of slightly ratty sweatpants (you know, that pair that's been sitting in your closet for ages) isn't the most stylish of choices. Fortunately, this mindset doesn't apply to all cozy loungewear. Emma Roberts' leopard sweatpants combine one of the season's most popular prints with the utmost comfortable material. The end result? A look that's equal parts slouchy and stylish.

Likely due to the fact that she's been in the spotlight for most of her adult life, Roberts has skillfully mastered the art of staying on trend while remaining true to her personal style. She's dabbled in the art of mixing prints, demonstrated exactly how to layer dresses for the colder months, and showcased her appreciation of '70s fashion with a few retro looks.

While Roberts is no stranger to pushing the limits on the red carpet, her street-style ensembles are just as inspirational. Most recently, the 27-year-old was photographed while grabbing lunch at Cafe Gratitude in Los Angeles on Jan. 7 wearing a relaxed nod to the animal-print trend.

Roberts sported a pair of leopard sweatpants by R13 that feature a drawstring waist, tapered ankles, and a super-soft cashmere material. She completed the understated look with a black cowl-neck sweater, lace-up combat boots, and a pair of oversized sunglasses. The actor kept it casual by wearing her platinum bob in a sleek side-part.

This easygoing style proves two things to be true: Experimenting with animal print can be the most comfortable thing you do all week and stepping out of the house in sweatpants doesn't have to look sloppy. Adding a printed pair of joggers or track pants to your collection of cozy clothes can make running even the most mundane of errands an optimal time for a fashion statement.

Pair your fierce sweats with a black sweater and boots à la Roberts, or try your hand at atheleisure by wearing them with chunky sneakers, a plain white t-shirt, and a distressed denim jacket. Ahead, shop Roberts' deluxe bottoms along with The Zoe Report's favorite animal-print lounge-approved pants.
