Nail trends come and go with every new season, but one color has stood up against the test of time — and every festive occasion. Holiday get-together with your work colleagues? Drinks with someone you haven't seen in five years? A last-minute date that just called 10 minutes ago? When it doubt, go with red. And thanks to fall 2019's new nail launches, one of the prettiest versions yet of the iconic nail color is now available online.

Talking about Zoya's new shade "Tanya", of course. Released as part of the brand's new Twinkling holiday 2019 nail collection, the $10 red nail polish takes everything fans love about Zoya's immensely popular "Carmen" shade and kicks it up a notch. Unlike "Carmen" — which Zoya ranks as a four out of five on its intensity and opacity scale — "Tanya" is, naturally, a perfect five. The bright creme polish is just that electric: It's a punchy, candy-apple red that can't help but catch a few eyes.

And there are plenty of recently released nail polishes for the nontraditional lacquerista, as well (with nary a red creme shade in sight). Those looking for something new and unique will love KBShimmer's Up & Autumn collection. Between its creamy coral shade, shimmering apple cider-inspired bronze, and green-to-brown thermal nail polish, there's a color for every palette.

But the standout shade is the collection's flake-speckled jelly polish, "Free Fallin'." Retailing for just $10 as well, the iridescent glitter shade looks as if the brand magically transformed a pile of orange and red fall leaves into a nail polish. The base of the polish itself is a deep auburn, while the flakes pack the sparkly punch — shifting between toasty gold, orange, and red hues.

And KBShimmer isn't the only brand to explore uncommon colors for fall. Ahead, five new nail polish launches (and shades) to add to your ever-growing collection.
