Supermodels—they’re just like us! That is, if they binge on countless helpings of panettone and drink copious amounts of spiked cider to endure the holidays with politically vocal relatives. No matter how egregious our festive transgressions, we can all use a cleansing ritual to help us refresh. Models Shanina Shaik and Rachel Hilbert are experts on wellness detoxing—these ladies have gone through the vigorous process of prepping for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (which is no easy feat). In the spirit of the new year, Shanina and Rachel share with us their go-to recipes for getting back on track. So congratulations on making it through December unscathed—now it’s time to detox like you’re training for the catwalk.

Rachel Hilbert's Berry Detox Smoothie

"This smoothie is great for detoxing but also good for healthy hair, fingernails and skin!"

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup blueberries
  • 1/3 cup raspberries
  • 1/3 cup blackberries
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup purified water
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1 spoonful almond butter or protein powder

Instructions:

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth and serve immediately.

Shanina Shaik's Detox Tonic

"After holiday meals, I recommend a glass of this tonic. It settles the digestive system and boosts your metabolism over time if you drink it consistently."

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz warm or hot water
  • 1 lemon slice
  • 1 tsp Bragg organic apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  • Squeeze lemon juice into water, then add vinegar. Mix and drink immediately.
