The Best Urban Outfitters Home Decor Finds For Every Room

by Tara Haaz

Urban Outfitters usually brings back thoughts of dorm room decor and high-school mall hangs. What you probably didn’t realize is that while we weren’t looking, the brand completely revamped its home decor section. What was once the go-to spot for tapestries and butterfly chairs is now the home to mature macrame, impressive, of-the-moment wicker furniture, affordable rugs and Moroccan-inspired bedding. They even have us rethinking those tapestries! Below are a few of our favorite finds for every room.

The Unexpected Underdog Of Affordable Decor

Living Room

One of the best parts about Urban Outfitters is the affordability of some of the bigger ticket items. You could easily add a piece of furniture (or two!) and stay within a tight budget. This mid-century modern coffee table pairs well with the rattan side table to give your space a mixed vintage vibe. Even just a new coffee table book with a great cover, or bringing in some plants can also spruce up your space

Henrik Wood Dowel Plant Stand, $69

A Portrait of Bowie, edited by Brian Hiatt, $34.99

Saints Coffee Table, $249

Marte Rattan Side Table, $198

Dining Room

We love combining this subtle tropical tapestry with rattan chairs and the black and white palm print. It feels like you're on a lanai in the Caribbean, and we are not going to complain about that! It's a perfect medley for the upcoming lazy, hazy days of summer.

Carlie Rattan Chair, $289

Flamingo Dreams Tapestry, $59

Connected Stripe Rag Rug, $24 to $159

Samantha Totty Palm Pot Print, $19 to $399

Bedroom

Mixing patterns and textures can really bring life to your space. The contrast of the bold floral sheet-set with the more understated, but textured comforter is visually stunning and also creates a cozy vibe, perfect for your bedroom. We love throwing a saddle blanket at the end of the bed to make the room feel a bit more polished. And can we talk about this vanity? It’s so modern, yet timeless–a good investment piece for years to come.

Mila Floral Sheet Set, $99 to $109

Eyelash Fringe Comforter, $169 to $219

Coin Saddle Blanket, $169

Arc Vanity, $329

Entryway

We love entryways. They provide a great place to put just a few of your favorite things. A well-designed bench is perfect for shoe removal when you come in, and also works as a place to put your handbag. This wall hanging is colorful and welcoming, and we love the message of the Stay Awhile hook to greet your guests. It’s always a good idea to add a rug that can withstand some wear and tear (and dirt), too. Jute is a good option in this scenario.

Tri-Seat Mango Wood Bench, $379

Stay Awhile Hook, $14

Pom-Pom Wall Hanging, $79

Lakho Woven Jute Round Rug, $189

Kitchen

Turns out, Urban Outfitters is a great place to find sets of dinnerware. Toss your old mismatched plates and cups, and upgrade to these chic sets. Get sets of both colors to mix and match in a more polished way. If your space is small, we love this kitchen set–it’s equally functional and pleasing to the eye.

12-Piece Modern Dinnerware Set, $99

16-Piece Wonky Grid Dinnerware Set, $63

Miles Dining Table Set, $849

Katalin Printed Rug, $69

Bathroom

Just a few additions to your bathroom can really make it feel like new again. This slightly feminine shower curtain works well visually with the bold print of the bath towels. It’s always nice to give yourself some surfaces to display some of your prettier things, and these wooden circle shelves can work well with almost any design elements that already exist. And, it is the bathroom, so some functionality is essential. We like the natural wood elements of this over-the-door hook as an alternative to standard metal or plastic.

Calista Circle Wooden Shelf, $29

Plum & Bow Pompom Dot Shower Curtain, $79

Etta Over-The-Door Multi-Hook Storage, $39

Slowtide Dahlia Bath Towel, $39.50
