While Will and Kate were delighting New Yorkers with their royal visit this week, a member of fashion royalty was quietly arriving in the city. To fete the anniversary of the house’s 5th avenue flagship store, Valentino Garavani came to support his successors at their first ever show in New York City. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli (the Creative Directors of Valentino) showed a special couture collection of dreamy white gowns, dresses and capes embellished with lace and touches of gold embroidery. For us Angelenos, this is the closest we’ll get to a White Christmas and we’re ok with it.
