LA Nights

“Lately, my going-out look has been quite formulaic. I love the combination of a sleek black bodysuit with high-waisted denim and block-heel shoes. The finishing touches are always a pair of statement earrings or a choker, and then my hair slicked into a low, center-part bun. It feels ‘done’ without being too contrived. When temperatures start to really drop, I'll throw on a leather jacket to get warm."

"My go-to night-out combination is a leather jacket, t-shirt dress, heeled thigh-high boots and a choker. This is a way for me to be comfortable, but still appropriately dressed for whatever the night may consist of. I can wear it to dinner, a bar and I've even worn it to nightclubs. LA is very accepting of personal style, and this is mine."

"Cropped leather pants, a thin V-neck knit sweater, pumps and a crossbody bag is my go-to night-out formula."

—Nicky Deam, Editorial Director

"My uniform lately has been all about sexy basics layered with flirty accessories. Usually this translates into distressed denim bottoms and a silky cami with a pretty bralette peeking out. Then I pile on some dainty lariats and chokers and slip on a simple low-heeled sandal. You can get away with being super casual in LA, so I take full advantage of it."

"I love styling a band tee with some fun pants and black heeled boots! When it's cold out I'll sling on a duster coat."

"I'm a huge fan of the mini skirt, and always have been. It offers some versatility to the basic jeans-and-a-cute-top combo, plus it's always fun to show off a little leg. My favorite is a high-waisted leather style, and I love to wear it with anything from a fitted black turtleneck and booties to a loose white tee, ankle-strap heels and a statement necklace. I'll add on some tights during the fall and winter when it cools down."
