East Coast vs. West Coast: Who Styled It Better?

by The Zoe Report

As fashion girls, we’re always looking for new ways to reinvent current-season staples. The more wear we can get out of an item, the better. To ensure the latest piece we’re coveting (a chambray, off-the-shoulder tunic from Tibi) was indeed as versatile as it is adorable, we put it to the ultimate test: We asked an Angeleno and a New Yorker to take the trendy top into their own hands. The result? Two completely different (not to mention chic) ways to style the same shirt. Click through to see how NY-based ShopBAZAAR Senior Editor Megan Reynolds and Rachel Zoe Inc.’s Lauren Blakeley and wear the must-have denim piece. We’ll call it a tie.

New York

In NY, Megan puts a work-appropriate spin on the breezy top. Pairing it with wide-leg trousers in a moody floral print effortlessly dresses things up. Add peep-toe heels for the perfect outfit to wear when attending appointments in the city.

Megan's structural lady bag adds polish to her look.

Los Angeles

In LA, Lauren takes a fresh approach at double denim (after all, it's what Angelenos do best). Distressed vintage jeans, block-heel sandals and a straw boater hat keep the vibe low-key and relaxed.

As for her accessories, Lauren implements mixed-metal jewelry that's understated and classic.
