The Trendy Silhouette That Looks Amazing On Everyone

by Nicky Deam

In addition to awards season, the Sundance Film Festival and the Women’s March, Paris is currently hosting Couture Week. What this means? An array of stylish women are getting dressed up to attend the likes of the Dior Spring 2018 Couture show, and doling out an abundance of sartorial inspiration in the process. Emily Blunt and Olivia Palermo turned out for the brand’s show in the silhouette du jour. Midi-length dresses, skirts and trousers were everywhere, and they’re surprisingly wearable for most personalities and schedules. Ahead, three ways to tackle the trend that clearly isn’t going anywhere.

Olivia Palermo donned a cropped suit, hitting at mid-calf, over knee-high boots. This is a perfect option if you work in a creative environment, or an unexpected alternative to a dress for dinner with friends.

Emily Blunt proves a high-necked, long-sleeved midi dress can look modern with this printed iteration. Keep accessories to a minimum and accent the look with a bright lip.

Willow Smith took the midi silhouette for an edgy spin with a sheer version. For those not comfortable baring all, opt for a lined style instead.
