Short Fuse

Just like with many of the fall collections, picking my favorite piece from 3.1 Phillip Lim kept me awake at night. I am constantly blindsided by his office-cool, head-turning clothes and accessories—they exude style at attainable prices (by fashion standards). This season, I am infatuated with Phillip’s gold sequin top, tuxedo suit and everything—he covers it all. After much debate, I landed on these mini leather shorts to show off today.

Ok…I know they are little and leather, but don’t be afraid. Not only was leather a big hit on the fall runways, but in short form, they’re the perfect transition piece. I am all about a recycled summer-to-fall look, so I suggest pairing these with some jewel-toned tights,* ankle booties and many cozy layers. If you’re still opposed to short shorts, there’s plenty more in Phillip’s collection to choose from…he epitomizes NY street cool and brings out the “It” girl in everyone. xoRZ
