If you’ve ever had a fashion emergency (and honestly who among us hasn’t?), get excited: Rent the Runway’s new service was made to save your hectic life. The luxury clothing rental company just announced the launch of same-day delivery, which basically gives clients the usual access to all their designer faves with the bonus of getting them within a matter of hours. If you place your order before noon, the package will reach your door by 5pm—in time for office happy hour, a spontaneous date night or a cocktail event to which you didn’t realize you’d RSVP’d. “We’re one step closer to our vision of a closet-less future,” RTR CEO Jennifer Hyman says in a statement about the upgrade. “Consumers are accustomed to on-demand services like Seamless, Uber and Netflix. By giving them the ability to get last-minute looks on demand, we are bringing the modern woman’s closet into the 21st century.” The service retains all your favorite RTR features, including styles that start at a wallet-friendly $30, a free back-up size for each item and free delivery for Pro members (non-members pay just $9.95). The only catch: Same-day service is currently available only in New York City, but the company plans to expand to other markets soon. West Coast girls, stay tuned.
