Ever find yourself scrolling through countless Instagram feeds in search of the perfect handbag or the trendiest pair of pumps? Same. While the photo-sharing app has always been a good way to window shop your favorite brands, it wasn’t exactly the place for customers to purchase newly discovered products—until now. Starting next week, Instagram will begin testing a feature that allows users to shop directly from the app. A selection of 20 retail brands including J. Crew, Kate Spade and Michael Kors will participate in the trial by posting images tagged with the products and their prices. Each shoppable post will have a tap-to-view icon on the bottom left of the photo that offers the option to buy. Just in time for the holidays.
