Hot Hexagon

If you have yet to scope out the insane collection of jewels from Matthew Williamson’s S/S 2010 show, stop what you are doing and feast your eyes immediately. In his debut collaboration with Atelier Swarovski, Williamson knocked it out of the park with geometrically-vibrant necklaces, cuffs and clutches. It is impossible to pick a fave, but when I closed my eyes and pointed, I landed on his jaw-dropping pendant piece for today…no words.

My not-so-secret key to dressing your best often depends on excessories, so of course I pay extra attention when something as striking as this comes along. Drawing inspiration from artist Jim Lambie, MW played with bright shapes throughout his collection, fitting two layers of triangles together to form a giant, crystal hexagon here. OOC. Pendant necklaces are always a bold fashion choice—especially at this time of year. Can you think of anything more perfect to bring new life to your black dress or white tee/blazer combo?
