CFDA x NFL: The Unexpected Fashion Collab We’re Rooting For

by Sari Anne Tuschman

File this under unlikely collaborations: The NFL and the CFDA have partnered to gather a team of 50 first-string designers to create custom-made footballs in honor of Super Bowl 50. Each recruit is bringing their A-game to the task with the resulting gold-themed pigskins—unveiled today— benefitting the NFL Foundation, which works with numerous worthy nonprofits across the country. Among the team members are Lemlem, Jennifer Meyer, Paul Andrew, Miansai, Suno, Rag & Bone, Prabal Gurung and Rebecca Minkoff. Our very own Rachel Zoe was also one of the designers drafted to make a football, which will be auctioned off on NFL.com. Talk about a touchdown of a partnership. Click through for a look at a few of the chicest footballs in the history of the game.
