Victoria Beckham Just Made Her Intense Daily Workout Sound Casual

by Erin Bunch

Whenever we feel like we’re underachieving in life, we can often count on a celebrity to really hit that point home for us. Enter Victoria Beckham’s recent interview with Vogue Netherlands, in which she discussed how she’s able to maintain her physique while running her business and caring for four children. “I go for a three-mile run every morning and I work out for an hour with a personal trainer,” she said, “which gives me just enough time to get to the kitchen to puree Romeo’s avocados.” Right… us, too. Sometimes we even add an extra mile just because it’s so easy to do all of that before one’s child wakes up in the morning in need of feeding. NBD.

In addition to making us feel bad about the number of times we’ve used the “there’s no time” excuse to avoid working out, Victoria also addressed the incessant gossip around her alleged inability to smile, saying, “If I really was as miserable as I look in some of those paparazzi pictures, my children wouldn’t be as happy as they are. And I certainly wouldn’t be married anymore.” If you’re invigorated by Victoria’s morning routine, here is a great avocado-including recipe you can make (for yourself, or for your four perfect children) after you finish your three-mile run and training session tomorrow morning.
