This Is Us star Mandy Moore’s new engagement ring stole the show on the Emmys red carpet on Sunday, somehow distracting us from the fact that she looked stunning, overall, in a Caroline Herrera dream dress it’ll be hard to top at any upcoming wedding. The round-cut ring sparkled like Mandy’s smile as she made her first public appearance with new fiancé Taylor Goldsmith in advance of the 69th Annual Emmys.

Moore got engaged earlier this week and reportedly let her This Is Us co-stars know of the news via group text. “She just sent a photo and just wanted us all to know that this just happened, and so then we went on a response spree for about a day and a half,” her co-star, Chris Sullivan, told Entertainment Tonight this past Wednesday. According to Moore’s Instagram story, Goldsmith then traveled quite the distance to be with his future bride on this, her other big day. “This guy flew across the country today to be with me at the #Emmys,” she captioned a photo of her beau, en route to the show.
Back on the carpet, Moore told Entertainment Tonight of the ring, “He did a very good job. I’m a bashful girl and I didn’t think I really wanted one, but then—I’m very happy with this.” As for the wedding, however, Moore echoed our sentiments above. “I’m not even thinking about that. I think it was like, gotta get through tonight…. One dress at a time.”
