We can all relate to a relationship falling apart. Whether it was a short term fling or a lengthy marriage, the pain is only amplified by the void the person leaves in your life. After two and a half years of marriage and seven years as a couple, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux formerly announced their separation and while we can imagine the process has been incredibly difficult, they have joined the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin in the ‘conscious uncoupling’ camp. In a statement released by Jennifer’s publicist the couple said; “In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.” While we’re sad to hear they’ve parted ways, we think this approach to ending a relationship but continuing to play a supportive role in each others’ lives is unbelievably healthy and we wish them both all the best. For anyone enduring a break up, let this be an inspiration in a very tough time.
