If you haven’t already heard, Blake Lively is starring in yet another movie. (She really does it all.) But this time, in what she calls her “most intense film” yet, the actress is taking on a role she had never previously attempted—that is, one that involves nudity. In the upcoming psychological drama, All I See Is You, Blake plays a blind woman who regains her sight, only to discover that new things about herself that ultimately threaten her marriage. While she’s previously taken on serious plot lines, the 30-year-old’s self-imposed no-nudity rule had prevented her from participating in scenes that required her to strip down. However, when she read director Marc Foster’s script, Blake reportedly fell in love with the whole thing and decided to reevaluate her views. “I always find nudity distracting,” she told Vanity Fair. “I’m very in love with my husband, but if there’s a pair of boobs out, I’m a human being! You’re like, ‘Boobs!’ It doesn’t mean I’m lusting for them, [but] when there’s naked boobies, you look at them.” Blake also delved deep into character research, seeking advice from friends who were blind and using blackout glasses to learn firsthand what it’s like to play the role. “It’s the performance that I’m most proud of,” she added.
