Anna Wintour Has Something To Say About A Certain Activewear Trend

by Samantha McDonald

Well, this is a surprise. Just in time for the U.S. Open finals, Vogue launched its own channel on Snapchat’s Discover page today, and the debut video features editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The major tennis fan enumerated her rules for surviving the U.S. Open. “Don’t forget to wear your sunglasses, especially if the male players insist on wearing those ugly fluorescent colors,” Anna said in the clip. She also advised against “fuchsia pink ribbons around your ankles, unless, of course, your name is Serena Williams.” Clearly the activewear trend of bright hues on hoodies, leggings, and accessories gets a thumbs-down in her book. Oh, and another piece of advice from the fashion queen herself: If you’re attending the tournament, learn how to pronounce the name Djokovic.
