The Nail Trend You Didn’t See Coming

Share

When it comes to our day-to-day beauty regimen, we strive to achieve 2 things: a minimalist routine with a fresh end result. Since the no-makeup makeup look came onto the scene, we’ve been finding ways to wear less product to show more of our natural beauty. Following suit, the no-polish manicure is by far the nail’s most low-maintenance look yet—it appears elegant and clean, plus the best part is you don’t have to worry about chipping. However, just like the no-makeup look, this trend does in fact require some effort. Here, get the steps for primping nails for this season’s cleanest, most healthy-looking manicure.

Prep Your Nails

Step 1: Always clean nails with polish remover–even if your nails aren't painted. This disinfects and removes oils, leaving your nails extra clean.

Step 2: Use a cuticle remover to soften the area and gently push them back with a cuticle pusher.

Step 3: Shape nails with a file and use the buffing side to smooth and polish the surface.

Step 4: Add a base coat to protect nails and add a beautiful shine. Shop our faves next.
