by Kristi Mikesky

Picture this: It’s day 3 of a relaxing vacation, and as much as you’d like to look your chicest while lounging at the pool, you can’t bring yourself to heat-style your hair for the occasion. The solution? A quick and easy turban fashioned out of your favorite silk scarf. We tapped beauty guru and celebrity makeup artist Sarah Uslan to show how to master the technique—great news: it’s surprisingly easy! For more vacation hair ideas, don’t miss Sarah’s pro tips for lived-in, boho texture for day and a simple, sexy side twist for night.

How to master the scarf turban: Place a scarf over your head and center at the crown. Grab the two corners on either side and join them together. Twist both sections until they reach the sides. Bring the twisted sections forward and tie into a knot at the front of the head.
