2015 Grammys: 5-Minute Celeb Beauty Looks
Sometimes the key to a perfect beauty look is honing in on one specific feature, as opposed to overdoing it by focusing on all of them. For example, making sure you have the exact right lip shade for your coloring can magnify the effect of the rest of your makeup; the perfect eye shadow hue lights up your face, and so on. On tonight’s Grammys red carpet, it seems a few women truly understood this (or at least their makeup artist did), and the results were nothing short of gorgeous. Here, a few of our faves and how they scored a perfect 10 on music’s biggest night.

Gwen Stefani
Temporarily ditching her signature red lip, Gwen rocks an understated nude shade which draws our eye straight to her amazing lashes.
Taylor Swift
Taylor shows us the key to great makeup is a flawless canvas–dewy, fresh foundation pairs beautifully with any lip or eye shadow shade.
Beyonce Knowles
The only thing better than perfect makeup is long layers of beachy waves. Spritz a sea-salt spray into hair, tie it in a bun and leave it up overnight for the perfect tousled result.
Anna Kendrick
Never underestimate the power of a perfectly winged-out cat eye. A gel pencil provides a perfect, crisp line–smudge it for a more lived-in look.
Rihanna
To achieve great brows, use a pencil and a spooled brush to make them really stand out. Nothing makes a look come together more quickly than perfect brows.
Rita Ora
The cardinal rule of pulling off a dark, smoky eye is to keep the rest of your makeup minimal and understated. A flattering new haircut helps too, as evidenced here by Rita.
