Burberry Continues To Dominate The Monogram Game

Share

One of the most visible trends last fall was the ubiquitous Burberry poncho complete with oversize monogram. The plaid wrap was sported by every It girl from Cara Delevingne to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who seemingly never left home without it, and for good reason. Cashmere with personalized embroidery is always a timeless investment. This week—in stores and online—Burberry launched a scarf bar allowing fans of all things cashmere to customize a wrap, poncho or stole with 30 colors to choose from—including solids and the signature plaid. We’re sure these will be a mainstay on fashion month’s street style circuit yet again, which means those monograms will come in extra handy at the after-party coat check.

Although the personalized Burberry scarves are a splurge starting at $550, there are more accessible ways to channel the trend. Steal the cozy style on a budget by bringing your favorite soft scarf to a local seamstress and requesting a custom monogram.
