Rachel Lapidos

Rachel Lapidos is the deputy editor of beauty at Bustle, where she leads coverage on all things skin care, makeup, hair, fragrance, and nails. She joined Bustle in 2020.

She previously worked as the beauty and fitness editor at Well+Good. She's also written for Bedford+Bowery and Bullett Magazine (RIP) after a brief stint covering private equity. Rachel holds a master's degree in journalism with a focus on magazine writing from New York University's Arthur L. Carter School of Journalism.

Her resolve to find the best beauty products, hacks, and treatments has led her to trade secrets with the likes of Dolly Parton and Sarah Jessica Parker, jet off to South Korea, Iceland, and Paris on assignment, and report on wider stories about how beauty affects mental health (i.e. having an asymmetrical face and dealing with bad Botox and filler). She's always down to have her face zapped and injected, her hair teased, and her body massaged in the name of research.

She's been in the industry for a decade, during which she's moderated and spoken on panels, spearheaded Bustle's beauty awards, and lent her expertise to places like The Strategist and The Zoe Report.

She currently lives in New York with her husband, son, and dog Stevie.
