Zoë Kravitz's Personal Style Is Equal Parts The Row & Molly Goddard (With A Vintage Twist)
As the magazine covers of 2020 begin to roll in, Elle landed a home run by highlighting Zoë Kravitz as the star of its February issue. In its latest print installment, the The Big Little Lies star divulges on her marriage and upcoming projects (like starring lead in her own Hulu series, High Fidelity). But most interestingly, her relationship with fashion is not what you would expect. To be so effortlessly cool, when it comes to Kravitz's personal style, it's actually quite timeless.
A brand ambassador for Saint Laurent, Zoë Kravitz is known best for her cool-girl aesthetic, sartorial street style, and undeniably good genes. But unlike famous mom, Lisa Bonet, the actress has a strong passion for fashion. "Fashion it’s an addiction,” Kravitz jokingly admitted when chatting (and shopping) with Elle's Fiona Golfar at London's Dover Street Market. “That would look amazing on my mom, even though she’s not that into fashion...unlike me, who loves it", Kravitz stated casually while perusing the curated racks.
This innate love for all things fashion can be attributed to Kravitz's rise as one-to-watch on best-dressed lists everywhere. But it's even more clearly displayed in the brands she tends to gravitate towards when shopping. With sartorial choices from The Row casually elevated by snoods from Molly Goddard, as mentioned in the magazine's Feb. issue, it makes sense that Kravitz's edgy style can seem super complex. When in fact it's a lesson on building a well-rounded wardrobe of timeless pieces.
In case you missed it, fans got a sneak peek at some of the film from Kravitz's 2019 nuptials earlier this month; which offered a first look at the vintage-inspired wedding dress by Alexander Wang she commissioned for the big day. Surprisingly classic considering the undeniable edge to her off-duty looks, the custom tea-length frock is indication enough that the actor has an appreciation for those timeless pieces, too.
Luckily, with her rendition of Catwoman in the works, you can expect to see more from the actor and her endless style moments in 2020 (— be it on the red carpet or out and about in the city). But in the meantime, ahead are a selection of TZR's favorite Zoë Kravitz style moments (of all time) that are worth bookmarking for a little 2020 inspiration.
