Warby Parker Just Debuted A Totally New Lens Design With Its Latest Collection
It’s no secret that Warby Parker has been a game changer since it first launched. And as the affordable direct-to-consumer brand continues to disrupt the industry, it’s also proving that it likes to stay ahead of the trends. Whether it’s with a pair of vintage-inspired optical frames or a bold pair of sunglasses, you can count on the eyewear brand to create styles that you will inevitably adore, and Warby Parker’s new Halo collection is no exception.
It was only a matter of time — five years, to be exact — that Warby Parker would create the first-of-its-kind lenses seen in its latest collection. Inspired by the stark contrast between the bright white glow of the moon against the backdrop of the night sky, the lenses in the Halo collection feature circular gradients where darker tones on the outer edge shift to lighter hues in the center, rather than the traditional top-to-bottom fade you’re familiar with.
To take these cool lenses to their full potential, Warby Parker also launched three new oversized silhouettes, including a dramatic cat-eye and a ’70s-inspired rounded square shape. And each style in the Halo collection is available now for $195 on Warby Parker’s website, just in time for you to take part in fall activities in style.
Since this collection has Warby Parker feeling cosmic — and because you can never sport too many pieces based on your zodiac sign — each lens is associated with one of the four astrological elements: earth, fire, water, and air. Of course, whether or not you decide to get the style for your sign, there's no question that these sunglasses will be part of your everyday outfits.
If you’re the type of person who likes to stay grounded, opt for the bell-shaped Inez in rose gold with brown Halo lenses, which is associated with earth signs. With the neutral hues and classic shape, you’ll be able to wear these with everything you own this season. Of course, if you want to embraces the passion and motivation of the zodiac’s fire signs, wear the Inez in gold with red tones.
Just in case you’re feeling more playful, the Nadine — an oversized cat-eye that features pink gradient lenses — captures the curious spirit of air signs perfectly. And for those of you who tend to be more introspective and intuitive like the water signs, the Marina features cool hues of teal and green reminiscent of the ‘70s.
