The Leggings That 5 TZR Editors Own (& Love)

lululemon

Finding the perfect pair of leggings is basically the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. It's not that good ones don't exist, it's just that with so many options catering to so many different wants, needs, and activities, the right person finding the right pair can take a lot of searching, and it's essentially fate (or a whole lot of research) that decides whether or not the perfect match comes together. Which is why it's basically impossible for anyone to agree on one pair — and also why when they do, it's probably a sign that those leggings are good. So when five members of The Zoe Report team realized we all own — and love — lululemon's Wunder Under High-Rise Tights, it was a sign that these might be as close to perfect as a pair of leggings can get.

While the hands-down favorites were admittedly from a range of brands, five TZR editors did conclude that these leggings are a must-buy for a range of reasons. Not only do they come in a range of lengths, finishes, and colors, they can also transition from a wear-at-home piece to the perfect workout bottoms. Even better? Many of us can attest to the fact that they last forever, meaning no ripped seams or any other surprises after a few months of heavy use. The list goes on, so keep reading to see all the reasons that make these a TZR-approved pair.

"I love how comfy these leggings are; they're my go-to for cozy weekends at home. Also, when it comes to workout-wear the higher the waist, the better IMO so these are definitely an easy choice."

Lauren Caruso, Managing Editor

"I grew up as an athlete and I work out three to four times a week, but it's never really occurred to me to plan my outfits based on the workout. No matter if I'm going to SLT (a notoriously difficult megaformer pilates class), The Class (Taryn Toomey's cardio-strenth-yoga-medidation hybrid), or Y7 (hot yoga that I have a love-hate relationship with), I wear these leggings. They're pretty high-compression, fit snugly in all the right places, but don't cut into me, which is a huge deal-breaker. Even better: They wash well. I sound like my mom here, but I've had the same pair for about six years, so the cost per wear is pennies."

Aidan Macaluso, Social Media Editor

"Not all high-rise leggings were created equal, and these truly are the cream of the crop. I love that they hit above my belly button, and that the thick waist band steadily stays put throughout my workout (there's nothing worse than hastily pulling up your leggings mid-run). I'm also a big fan of the material — it provides the full-coverage I desire, while still remaining entirely breathable. I've had a black pair for a while and I think it might be time to invest in the new camo colorway..."

Anna Buckman, Shopping News Editor

"These leggings were my intro to lululemon, and they turned me into an instant superfan of the brand. I've actually never found another pair that fit me so well. Normally, leggings will gap out in the back, not come up high enough on my waist, or just plain fall down while I'm wearing them, none of which are ideal problems to have, especially during a workout. Lululemon's never do that; from the moment I pull them on, they stay put in all the right places, and feel ridiculously comfortable to boot. Plus, I can wear them when I'm running, during barre classes, and just to hang out, proving their versatility is just as strong as their comfort level."

Ruby Buddemeyer, Associate Celeb Editor

"I recently became obsessed with hot yoga, and I swear these leggings are to blame. They move with my body so easily and the fabric is lightweight enough to breathe in the 100-degree room, but my absolute favorite part is the super high-rise waist. They sit a few inches above my belly button, which is the perfect amount of coverage when I decide to workout in a crop top or longline bra. I've experimented with quite a few brands by now, but I've been unable to find a pair as comfortable as these!"
