The power of a crimson lip is simply undeniable. Not only does it transform an entire look in mere seconds, but it oozes elegance and sophistication. As such, it's one lipstick that everyone should have in their beauty bag. Though an essential makeup product, it can be hard to land upon the perfect product — one that delivers vibrant, long-lasting color while also boasting a moisturizing formula. But, that's where Selena Gomez's red lipstick at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival comes into play. The actor just served up the quintessential red power pout — and you're going to want to recreate it ASAP.

Gomez made her Cannes Film Festival debut on May 14, when she walked the red carpet for the premiere of The Dead Don't Die. The actor, who's slowly been making a return into the public eye this year, has been nailing every look she's turned out thus far. — case in point: that epic purple eye shadow she rocked for WE Day — but the breathtaking beauty moment she had on Tues. undeniably takes the cake.

The 26-year-old was the epitome of Old-Hollywood glamour at the festival kickoff, donning a custom Louis Vuitton satin bustier, a high-slit skirt, and a coordinating belt. Playing off of the retro vibe, celeb makeup artist Hung Vanngo opted for a classic, vintage-inspired beauty look — and unsurprisingly, a bold red lip was key.

To achieve a vibrant crimson-hued pout, Vanngo reached for Marc Jacobs' Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in "Oh! Miley," a strawberry spice hue that's wearable day and night.

Aside from boasting a formula that promises unprecedented color payoff, Gomez's red lipstick is incredibly moisturizing, too, thanks to a blend of natural humectants, like meranti and cocoa butter, and antioxidant-rich seaberry. In other words, it really is the perfect red lipstick — and luckily, you can shop it right now.
