Margot Robbie Just Wore This Viral Instagram Trend & You’ll Want To Follow Her Lead

If Margot Robbie's aesthetic throughout the press tour for Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood had a theme, it'd be neutral. That's probably because most of her looks have been modeled after the late Sharon Tate, herself, who tended to stick to a rather colorless palette back in the '60s. Margot Robbie's latest all-white outfit, however, adheres to a more current trend.

The actor looked like a stick of butter at Weds.'s photo call in London. If she were an Instagram influencer, she'd be using that hashtag Harling Ross of Man Repeller so famously coined this past winter.

In case you forgot, every it-girl on the social media platform made a condiment their muse back in Feb. and, thus, the #stickofbutter aesthetic was born. It turns out, however, that the formula can be adapted to warm weather, too. Robbie's white-and-cream ensemble is proof.

The actor attended a UK press event wearing head-to-toe neutrals courtesy of DÔEN'S slouchy button-down Jane blouse and the brand's white, flared Maritime jeans. If you're familiar with DÔEN, then you already know that the #stickofbutter motif is sort of the label's thing.

Stylist Kate Young paired the outfit with monochromatic Maryam Nassir Zadeh slingback pumps.

If you look at Robbie's highlight reel from the past six months, you'll notice a whole lot of white-on-white happening: the Cannes Film Festival in May, the Los Angeles premiere in July, to a recent photo call at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons, and at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.

Bold hues are simultaneously having a major moment, as you know — the neon variety and retro color blocking, especially — but on days when you need something safe and secure, rest assured all-neutral-everything will never do you wrong.
