When getting ready for a night out on the town, it’s easy to grab your favorite little black dress. But, the coolest date-night look might be hiding with the rest of your office staples. Case in point: Jennifer Lopez’s recent pink blazer ensemble, which makes the case for wearing workwear well into the evening. And it’s way easier to pull off than you might think.

Lopez was spotted leaving Avra Restaurant in Los Angeles on May 27 in a rosy pink blazer by Balmain. Her jacket featured a tie-waist detail, oversized gold buttons, and a satin lapel. She kept the rest of her outfit minimal, opting for a simple white tank top and high-waisted, light-wash jeans with a lived-in, frayed hem. To give the otherwise demure look some oomph, the singer wore a pair of gold croc-print pumps designed by Christian Louboutin, a pair of chunky gold hoops from Jennifer Fisher, and a white crossbody bag with a thick gold chain strap. It wouldn't be a J.Lo look without some glam, right?

Rounding up the ideal date-night ensemble was the actor’s beauty look, which was just glamorous as her accessories. Lopez styled her hair in a glossy, slicked back, bun and went for a shimmery gold smoky eye look. Her skin was bronzed and highlighted to perfection, and her nails were painted a pale shade of pink to complete the entire look.

To be clear, the World of Dance judge isn’t the first to don a statement-making blazer this season — colorful suits were all over the Spring/Summer 2019 runways. Acne Studios featured a more relaxed silk suit for its spring collection in a vibrant tangerine hue, while Chanel offered up an array of skirt and short suit options in shades of lavender and navy blue. Plus, celebrities like Brie Larson, Karlie Kloss and Tracee Ellis Ross have all been loving the bold trend recently, too.

If you're looking to test out the look for yourself, there's good news and bad news. Bad news: Lopez's exact blazer is sold out everywhere. Good news: It’s still easy to get the look for yourself. Balmain makes a similar version — and it’s currently on sale. If you’re looking for a more casual piece, go for a cotton or tweed version. But, fabrics like silk and satin offer a more editorial vibe. Pair your blazer with a matching set of trousers for a more statement-making look, or follow Lopez’ lead and wear your blazer with a pair of your favorite jeans to make it more daytime-appropriate. Ahead, The Zoe Report rounded up the best pink blazers on the market right now, so start shopping.
