Paired with pink strappy sandals by Jimmy Choo, the dress felt both festive and elevated with metallic fringe and three-dimensional embellishments. For anyone who prefers beading instead of sequins, Carrie Underwood wore a sheer dress from Elie Madi that featured a flowing tulle train to follow.

If there was any doubt that animal print was fading into the background of this year’s biggest trends, the CMA Awards’ red carpet set the record straight. Brandi Carlile sported a chic emerald green suit with leopard print trim from Sanne London and a petal pink pussy-bow blouse by Gucci, making a strong case to forgo a dress for the impending holiday party season. Chic fall florals was another print seen in the evening, including the romantic roses in Halsey’s Nedo gown.
