Hollywood’s brightest stars are no strangers to sporting jaw-dropping looks on the red carpet. But if the best looks from the 2019 CMA Awards have proven anything, it’s that the music industry loves a bold look. From dramatic silhouettes and animal prints to playful feathers and ample glitz and glamour, country music’s A-listers certainly did not disappoint.

This year’s CMA Awards brought together the music genre’s elite in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 13. With a long list of country music’s biggest stars, including Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and host Carrie Underwood, as well as guests from other areas of the entertainment industry like Gigi Hadid and Nicole Kidman, the annual awards ceremony’s red carpet featured a wide variety of noteworthy fashion moments.

If you’ve already taken a quick scroll through your Instagram since the CMA Awards’ red carpet arrivals, then you probably stumbled upon photos of Kacey Musgraves. The artist — who won two awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year with “Rainbow” — wore a gold, glittering gown with whimsical feathers by Valentino. And to complement the singer’s gilded ensemble, Gigi Hadid also sported the timeless color trend in her beauty look. The model donned gold-dusted eyelids along with a ribbed knit Helmut Lang dress — which carried a gold sheen — and Fendi boots, as a way to match Musgrave’s sparkle for the night.

Of course, Musgraves’ Valentino look wasn’t the only glittering ensemble on the red carpet for the evening. Nicole Kidman stepped out in a red sequin dress by Versace to support husband Keith Urban. Paired with pink strappy sandals by Jimmy Choo, the dress felt both festive and elevated with metallic fringe and three-dimensional embellishments. For anyone who prefers beading instead of sequins, Carrie Underwood wore a sheer dress from Elie Madi that featured a flowing tulle train to follow.

If there was any doubt that animal print was fading into the background of this year’s biggest trends, the CMA Awards’ red carpet set the record straight. Brandi Carlile sported a chic emerald green suit with leopard print trim from Sanne London and a petal pink pussy-bow blouse by Gucci, making a strong case to forgo a dress for the impending holiday party season. Chic fall florals was another print seen in the evening, including the romantic roses in Halsey’s Nedo gown.

Without a doubt, these looks have already proven that the upcoming awards season is about to be filled with next-level red carpet looks.
