Charlotte Tilbury Just Released A New Lipstick Shade & It’ll Go With All Your Holiday Looks
Given it has more than 120K "loves" on Sephora, it's safe to say Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick is a favorite of beauty lovers. The hydrating formula includes popular shades like Pillow Talk, and even claims celebrity fans like Amal Clooney and Emma Roberts. So when it gets a new shade in its lineup, it's pretty much guaranteed to be a hit — and that's sure to be the case with the lipstick's newest launch, Scarlet Spell.
Similar to previous shades (like Between The Sheets and Sunset Lover), the Dec. 5 release was actually named by a fan after Tilbury took to Instagram to give followers a chance to give the berry hue its own unique moniker. Thus, the limited-edition Scarlet Spell shade was born.
“Darlings, this suits-all shade is like a ‘Little Black Dress’ for lips and is perfect for all those December parties," said Tilbury in a press release. And she's not wrong; the rich, red color is surprisingly versatile. Yes, it's certainly bold, but thanks to the infusion of berry hues, it's just understated enough to wear during the day while still being dramatic enough for night.
And, it's more easy to apply than you'd expect for a dark, matte shade. According to the press release, grab the $22 Lip Cheat lip liner in Supersize Me and start by "outlining from the top corner of your lip slightly over your natural lip line to create a fuller-looking pout." Then, apply Matte Revolution straight to your lips until you reach your desired shade intensity. Pair it with Charlotte's Magic Star Highlighter for a pretty red-and-gold holiday look that's Tilbury approved.
Though Charlotte Tilbury products are available at retailers like Sephora, this particular launch will be a little harder to get your hands on. The shade is exclusively available on CharlotteTilbury.com and at Charlotte Tilbury standalone Beauty Wonderlands in London, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. And, considering it's limited edition, it won't be around long.
