And the award for best dressed goes to ... Amy Adams. The Sharp Objects actor shut down Sun.'s "silver carpet" with arguably her most stunning look ever. And you actually might be surprised to see what Amy Adams' 2019 SAG Awards dress looked like on the runway (spoiler: it's so different).

While her fabulous black gown is technically considered a custom, some might recognize the top half of it from Céline's Spring/Summer 2019 runway. That's right, the French design house debuted Adams' LBD on the catwalk of Paris Fashion Week in Sept., but the nominee certainly made some alterations to it before the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sun.

The 44-year-old awards show veteran, who was nominated twice for her roles in Vice and Sharp Objects, rocked the frilly number with a floor-length, slit-laden skirt, showing off a pair of strappy pumps by Jimmy Choo underneath. On both the catwalk and the red carpet, the strapless dress featured a voluminous ruffled bodice cinched at the waist with a wide, sparkly belt.

On the Céline runway, however, the dress' hem hit above the knee. Adams added just a bit of sophistication to the edgy mini dress with a sleek pencil-cut skirt, although it did have a thigh-high slit.

Unlike the Céline model, who walked the runway in a bold fascinator and studded moto boots, Adams, on the other hand, made the piece look effortlessly elegant, pulling her famous red hair back in a tidy coil topknot and accessorizing only with dangling silver-and-pink earrings and a cuff bracelet, both by Cartier. Her usual stylist, Petra Flannery, was, of course, behind the look.

As for the last time Adams sported an all-black gown? Well, it's almost been as long ago as her previous appearance on the SAG Awards' red carpet in 2017. Remember the minimalistic black Brandon Maxwell dress she wore then? She's seemingly taken a break from everyone's go-to neutral hue, though, and instead opted for more vivid colors lately, like rich greens and blues.

At the Golden Globes on Jan. 6, for instance, the actor channeled Ariel from The Little Mermaid in a stunning emerald, off-the-shoulder dress. She then wore a royal-blue, long-sleeved frock with bright green dangly earrings to the Critics' Choice Awards on Jan. 13.

It's safe to say no one is going to be offended that Adams has gone back to black, though, with her latest show-stopping look.
