31 New Beauty Products That Have Absolutely Nothing To Do With The Holidays

Right about now, in any given city, festive music is spilling out of every speaker within earshot. Sephora is breaking out the beauty gift sets, and Netflix queues are filled with cheesy holiday rom-coms — but just because it’s December doesn’t mean your life needs to revolve around holiday cheer. Enter these 31 brand new beauty products that have absolutely zero to do with the holidays, from hydrating skincare to the best mani shade for winter.

“Cold winter air lacks humidity, therefore it’ll have a drying effect on the skin,” Dr. Aanand Geria of Geria Dermatology in New Jersey tells The Zoe Report. “The best moisturizing ingredients are the ones that provide supreme hydration without irritation.” Consider Glow Recipe's just-launched Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask, the must-have of the month for its ability to soothe dry, flaky skin overnight with 74 percent avocado and a hint of Manuka honey. In the morning, give your face a swipe with one of Indie Lee’s new Gentle Daily Peel Pads — these lightly exfoliate dry skin with the help of BHAs and AHAs (and even include a dose of calming jasmine to reduce inflammation).

This theme carries over into body care, too… because who wants to deal with winter’s dry elbows and chapped hands? Exfoliate with Herbivore Amethyst Body Polish (actually packed with crushed amethyst crystals), then moisturize from neck-to-toe with the unscented Body Lotion from cool new body brand Nécessaire. It’s filled with skincare-level ingredients like peptides and jojoba oil, and sinks into the skin without that dreaded greasy finish.

As for hair, “the vibe is all about shiny hair that looks super glamorous,” Maddison Cave, a hairstylist who works with actress Carey Mulligan, tells The Zoe Report. “We’ve been doing that undone, lived-in wave for so long but it’s time for a little bit of bounce and drama.” In addition to shine-boosting stylers like Prose’s new custom Hair Oil, Cave suggests adding an elegant clip your hair accessory collection, like Lelet’s Torn Round French Barrette.

And as far as makeup, “Statement lips are staying in style for winter,” says Neil Scibelli, a makeup artist known for his work with Elle MacPherson. “Whether you’re looking to add an extra pop to your complexion or if you just want one key item to tie your look together, I think a classic red or even deeper variations of red shades are always fierce for winter” — and Dominique Cosmetics, Kosås, and Kjaer Weiss, all offer new shades of scarlet.

Ahead, discover 31 of the best December beauty products across skincare, makeup, hair care, body care, fragrance, and nail care to banish the winter blues (and OK, fine... to wear to all those holiday parties, too).
