Instagrammable food trends fall into one of two categories: healthy food captured in all its organic glory (avocado toast) and OTT decadent concoctions (Unicorn Frappuccino). Cloud eggs are the latest burgeoning food trend, and they combine the whimsy of the latter with the health-consciousness of the former. They’re also so easy to make—here’s how.
Whipped Into Shape
Pretty, right? To make them, simply separate an egg yolk from the white. Whip the white into a meringue, place on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper and bake for five to eight minutes at 450 degrees. Then set each yolk on top of each white and bake for another three minutes.
