Get A Room: The Standard East Village in New York

The latest installment in our Get a Room series comes just in time for New York Fashion Week. This time, we’re unpacking our monogrammed bags and settling in at The Standard East Village, one of downtown Manhattan’s coolest hotels. Thanks to its prime location and killer views, we may never leave.

Looming high above the city’s iconic Bowery, the 21-story steel and glass tower offers 145 light-filled rooms, each with its own wall of floor to ceiling windows. Watch the sun set over the rooftops, or shut the city away as you get cozy amongst the crisp Italian linens. On the hotel’s ground floor you’ll find some of the neighborhood’s most popular hangouts: the charmingly old-school bistro Café Standard and the California-inspired restaurant Narcissa. Though both lively spots feature gorgeous interiors and crazy-good menus (try Narcissa’s slow-roasted beets!), their respective outdoor gardens and patios are definitely the places to be.
