Rachel Zoe’s Fashion Week Style Tips

Angela Pham/BFAnyc.com

Every fashion girl looks forward to September, when the leaves change color, the air becomes more crisp and—most importantly—we can pack away summer’s breezy dresses and peasant tops in favor of the season’s yummiest knits, layers and tweeds!

Beyond great clothes, I have many reasons to love fall: My birthday is this month; I recently celebrated the anniversary of my first date with my husband; and fashion weeks take place in four of my favorite cities around the globe. Although I’m going to miss sunny days at the beach in Malibu or the Hamptons and fabulous outdoor get-togethers with friends, I’m so excited for the start of fashion’s most important season.

Whether you’re jet-setting around the world attending back-to-back runways shows or live-streaming the catwalk action from the comfort of your desk chair, your personal style should always be on point, so here is my advice on the best outfits for each fabulous fashion-week destination.

New York

“A true New York girl dresses to impress while still being able to navigate the most action-packed city in the country. Easy, chic separates keep you cool and are fuss-free, so you’ll look put together without sacrificing comfort.”

London

“No London look is complete without a camel-colored trench coat thrown over a feminine frock. Incorporate a rule-breaking accent piece by way of a hand-painted statement bag.”

Milan

“Mixing prints, experimenting with strong silhouettes and above all, not being afraid to take risks define the perfect Milan outfit.”

Paris

“French girls have effortless cool down to a science. Take on the City of Light in a smoldering ensemble—think sheer details and minimal makeup.”
