Stranger Things Season 3 Is Officially A Go, And We’re Officially Thrilled

Between the eclipse, Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones and the happenings on Taylor Swift’s social media, this week was already set up to be a roller coaster of emotions. And that was before the wonderful news that season 3 of Stranger Things is in the works. In an interview with Vulture, show-runners Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed that a third season was given the green light, and a fourth season is incredibly likely. “We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing, and then out,” says Ross.

As for season 2, which premieres later this year: “I told Matt, ‘I don’t want to call it season 2—I just want it to feel like a movie sequel.’ If you have a successful movie, number two is always a little bit bigger,” says Ross.

Season 2 of Stranger Things premieres on October 27 on Netflix.
