The lob—long bob for those of you who didn’t get the memo—isn’t exactly a new haircut, but if you’ve been following the trends of celebrity chops for the last year or so, you’ve probably noticed that many stylish stars have opted for the breezy, shoulder-grazing cut. And now that actress and bonafide fashion girl Alicia Vikander has hopped on the lob train, as seen during her recent appearance at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, it’s clear that this ‘do isn’t losing any steam. Vikander follows the footsteps of celebrities including Selena Gomez, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Kate Middleton who have also gone for the shorter, more blunt hairstyle, likely because—as Alicia perfectly demonstrates—it looks so effortless, modern, and chic. That said, it’s safe to say we’re big fans of this change.
