North West Finally Has A Name For Her New Puppy

Update 6/27/2017:

Slight exaggeration, but we’ve been waiting for this moment since Kim Kardashian West gifted daughter North a puppy for her birthday more than a week ago—and it looks like the family has finally decided on a name for the teacup Pom: Sushi. The reality star launched a Twitter poll late into the weekend, asking fans to help in the crucial decision-making. Among the choices were Baby Jesus (yikes); Peachy Pop, or Peaches for short; Sushi, after our go-to Japanese entree; and Goldie. Although Peaches was the frontrunner with 29% of votes, Kim eventually revealed the four-year-old’s choice on the social platform.

With little Nori’s Moana-themed party with Penelope and her moniker being the Japanese name for seaweed, it makes perfect sense her pup was bestowed said name. Welcome to the family, Sushi!

Update 6/17/2017:

Per the below photo posted on Kim’s Instagram page last night: We now know that the new puppy’s sister was adopted by Kourtney for her daughter, Penelope. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any cuter.

Original story:

Four years ago, June 15 forever ceased to be just another day when it earned the high honor of becoming North West’s day of birth—and things have never been the same. It seems every year on that day, we stake out our feeds to see how the Kardashian West clan will celebrate their little princess. We won’t soon forget—or stop being jealous of—her Coachella-themed bash at the ripe old age of one. This year, however, we thought her fourth birthday celebration seemed decidedly less extra than usual (a casual family meal at Ruby’s diner and a Chuck E. Cheese turn-up), that is, until we caught a glimpse of what Kim and Kanye gave her as a gift.

Today on her Snapchat, Nori’s mama showed off what might be the cutest damn thing we’ve ever seen: the tiniest little fluff ball of a puppy. Kim called out to fans to help her name the new family addition, which resulted in a slew of suggestions. We know in the past Kim hasn’t had the best luck with pets (RIP Princess and Mercy), so we’re hoping the new baby is a good fit for the family. Oh, and more pics please.
