Major congrats are in order for Natalie Portman, as she and hubby Benjamin Millepied confirmed the birth of their second baby to Us Weekly Friday. Amalia, little sister to the couple’s five-year-old son Aleph, was actually born on February 22, which definitely explains the actress’s absence from the Academy Awards last weekend. Said Portman, “Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards. I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends.” While we are happy to hear of baby Amalia’s safe arrival into the world, we will miss Natalie’s flawless pregnancy style. Here’s hoping this family is still growing and in the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for baby #2’s first photos!
