Whoa, that was fast! After taking just one week for a much-needed digital detox, Kendall Jenner is back on Instagram. Just two days after deleting her account, she went on Ellen to tell the talk show host that she needed to take a break from social media, even deleting her Twitter account from her phone. Surprisingly, she never thought it would cause the Internet meltdown that it did, telling Ellen, “It’s so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that.” She seemed happy to have made what seemed like what would be a long commitment, describing that the time away from her phone is “a nice, refreshing feeling,” even boasting the sentiment that not being so attached to her phone was a beautiful thing. “You start to engage in real life, and you have to deal with real people right in front of you,” she said. Ellen wondered what we all did: “It’ll be interesting to see how long that lasts.” Well, it may only have been a seven-day-stretch, but her break seems to have brought her back to her love of photography, posting three images captioned as “happy by me,” “return of the mack by me,” and “shy boy by me.” And while it’s not entirely clear what made Kendall come back–perhaps those withdrawals from going cold-turkey–we’re looking forward to seeing what else she has to post since re-joining the social media world.
