You’re Going To Be Seeing A Lot More Of Kate Middleton

The Kate Middleton effect is well documented (seriously, who else has purchased the Stuart Weitzman wedges she favors?). While she hasn’t been spotted out as much as she was say, circa 2012, we’re about to get a serious dose of the Duchess. Believe it or not, the reason for this has to do with voting. Yes, voting. The British general election is causing quite the scheduling snafu. While this means the royal family’s summer plans have been seriously disrupted, it also means that, because so many events will be taking place over a short period of time, we’ll be seeing a lot of the royals over the upcoming months. Queen Elizabeth will even be dressing down for the State Opening of Parliament for the first time in over four decades, wearing a hat (gasp!) instead of a crown and a day dress in lieu of robes. And, she’ll be arriving in a car instead of a gilded carriage. So many royal outfits, so little time.
