Beyoncé Starts A Scholarship Program For “Bold, Creative” Women, Cements Our Love For Her
A year ago, the world was shook when Beyoncé released her visual album, Lemonade. To celebrate its anniversary, our lord and savior Queen Bey announced on her website that she’s starting the Formation Scholars program “to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.” Four awards are available, one at each of the selected institutions—Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College—and will be provided to women studying creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the one-year anniversary of such an empowering album than by empowering women to pursue their creative passion.
