Well, Now We Know Who Beyoncé And Jay Z Are Voting For

This is the time period you could officially label as “down to the wire” in terms of the upcoming election, which means that both sides are pulling out the big guns to drive home the case that they’re the best choice for our next commander-in-chief. As far as celebrity endorsements go, it pretty much doesn’t get any bigger than the dynamic duo of Jay Z and Beyoncé, and at a “Get Out the Vote” concert Friday night in Cleveland, Ohio (which is a swing state, FYI), the two made it crystal clear who’s box they’d be checking come this Tuesday.

While Jay’s performance at the benefit was made public weeks ago, it was something of a surprise for Queen B to make an appearance, and after the two performed a duet of “Holy Grail,” the mama of Blue Ivy Carter made a plea to the audience before she and her husband stood hand-in-hand on stage with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. “I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our country and know that her possibilities are limitless. We have to think about the future of our daughters and sons and vote for someone who cares about them as much as we do. And that is why I am with her,” she said in an emotional speech to the cheering crowd. Bey also gave a nod to Clinton’s signature pantsuit with her own wardrobe choice, and when dancers joined her to perform the hit “Formation,” they also sported the presidential hopeful’s trademark ensemble, complete with “I’m With Her” tees underneath.

Beyoncé and Jay Z’s endorsement follows the lead of Katy Perry, Amy Schumer, Amal and George Clooney, and numerous others who have already pledged their support for Clinton. Given the power couple’s extreme influence, this could be a game-changer for young, on-the-fence voters.
