The mega-brand tapped a tetrachromat, Maureen Seaberg, to help create the spectrum because she has the ability to see up to 100 million hues that are imperceptible to the average naked eye. Because of her ability to see a lot more colors than the average human, MAC is introducing brand-new colors to the world that you won’t find in any other makeup collection. According to WWD , each tube of MAC’s Liptensity lipstick was formulated with a clear base to keep the color true to ones we wouldn’t normally see.
