For a festive red soup, try this Beetroot Coconut & Ginger Soup by @sumakween (which she says was inspired by @sssssoupsssss’ recipe). With vegetable stock as the staple, it’s plant-friendly, and also has vegetarian tom yum paste, onion, and lime to help round out the flavor.

Tina Prestia, founder of Tina’s Table, has the perfect recipe for a hearty winter soup: pasta with chickpeas. It contains some key good-for-you ingredients, like chickpeas (a superfood) and garlic.

This Instant Pot Lentil Barley Soup, by Ruchi’s Kitchen, will do most of the work for you — and you’ll have a tasty meal to warm you up in no time at all. Some of the ingredients include pearled barley, garlic, carrots, celery, onion, and corn (yum).

If you’re craving a meatier stew, try this Beef Noodle Soup by The Cozy Cook. With seasoned beef (The Cozy Cook recommends sirloin or tenderloin if you’re looking for the most tender options), vegetables (like mushrooms), broth, and egg noodles, it contains the perfect combo of hearty ingredients.

And if you are not craving a meaty soup, try this Potato Leek Soup by @emm_eatsss. It’s really easy to make on the stove. Aside from potatoes, it has various veggies, including leeks, carrots, garlic, onion, and celery. Red pepper flakes give it some extra spice, too (if you’d like).

A vegetarian-friendly soup you can make is Easy Tomato Soup by Natasha’s Kitchen. She says that it’s important to offset the tomatoes’ acidity with certain ingredients, like cream, parmesan, and a little sugar. It also contains savory ones, like yellow onion and garlic.

Whether you’re sick or are just craving some homemade chicken noodle soup, why not make this Matzo Ball Soup by Girl and the Kitchen? She says it brings her back to her childhood — and it’ll probably bring you back to yours, too.

Another soup that’s perfect for wintery weather is this Roasted Cream of Cauliflower Parmesan Soup by Sarah of Whole and Heavenly Oven. It has a chicken broth base, but you can always switch it out with a vegetable broth.
