Pat McGrath Labs' new OpuLUST: GLOSS arrives Jan. 31.

As the saying goes: new year, new gloss. As you may've already spotted on Instagram if you follow the iconic makeup artist, Pat McGrath Labs has something up its sparkly sleeve — and it's arriving very soon. At 12 p.m. ET on Jan. 31, Pat McGrath Labs' new OpuLUST: GLOSS will drop online at PatMcGrath.com and on Sephora's website. The wait to swatch in-store won't be long, either; the new gloss collection lands at select Sephora locations on Feb. 6.

Although its name may be similar to the Pat McGrath Labs LUST: Lip Gloss, it's important to know that the OpuLUST: GLOSS is a new (and very glittery) formula. McGrath herself referred to the new drop as "luridly luxe glosses" in a press release quote, adding that fans should "prepare to soothe, smooth and outshine the stars with the astral overload and diamond-sparkle intensity of this dazzling formulation." However, the new drop will offer a similarly tack-free, non-sticky application, something that's helped the highly rated LUST: Lip Gloss become such a cult hit with shoppers.

The inaugural OpuLUST: GLOSS release includes eight $30 shades, with a mix between casual pinks and dramatic colors. Three of them will be exclusive to PatMcGrath.com: "Glowing Garnet" (a punchy red gloss with gold sparkle), "Naked Rose" (a warm rose gloss with gold and pink sparkle), and "Under Your Spell" (an exciting mauve gloss with complementary purple and pink sparkle).

That means five will be available from other stockists — those colors are "Coraliasion", "Lavendaring", "Dreamscape", "Venomistress" and "Bronze Seductress." "Dreamscape" and "Bronze Seductress" are both bronze-based glosses, with the latter adding copper glitter to its pink mix. Despite their eye-catching names, "Venomistress" and "Coraliasion" are both highly wearable; the two offer up everyday shades of peach and fuchsia.

However, the cooler-toned "Lavendaring" shade is, in fact, the most daring of the bunch. The barely-there gloss has a distinct purple tint to it, and gets an opalescent glow thanks to a dose of iridescent pink shimmer. Check out McGrath's OpuLUST: GLOSS swatch video — or the one featuring a perfect "Lavendaring" application — on her personal Instagram account to see the intriguing sparkle in action.

Make sure you stop by the beauty brand's website (or online at Sephora) on Jan. 31 if any of these shades catch your eye, too; chances are high that plenty of Pat McGrath fans will be waiting to get their hands on the newest release.
